Time to change.

I found out recently that I am approximately 230 lbs. overweight, according to my BMI.  I’m honestly surprised I’m not dead.

You don’t really notice it as it gets worse, just some things get harder to do.  You think “I’m just getting a little older.”  Then you decide “what the heck.  I haven’t stepped onto a scale in a few months.  Let’s see where we are with this whole ‘being a pudgy guy, sopping up the joys of life.’”  Then you notice that you can’t weigh yourself on the office gym’s doctor’s scale because the scale doesn’t go that high.  Then you find a digital scale that can be used to weigh medium-sized livestock...  Then you get scared for your life.

You're a dead man waddling.

What’s worse is that you don’t realize what you are seeing in the mirror until someone puts a number in to add perspective.  What you thought you saw in the mirror every morning, from the chest up, suddenly tastes like a lie you were telling yourself.  And it was.

This is getting dangerous.

Ok.  This is as wide as I can make this thing.  It's attracting attention from passersby and I can't have that kind of attention for a few more months.  I think it can be fleshed out without too many more post-its.

This is cool and creative, etc., but I have to ask you all:  What is this thing on the right??!?

Hello little eyeball guy!

I wonder why the armed and legged eye-man is waving.  He's like 2 ft from the snake fellow...  but I don't see a mouth, and I don't know if the snake guy knows sign language, so may that's his only way of saying "hello."

This only has a little more room, so I think I can get a few more days out of it.  What should I do with it when it's done?

This is getting COMPLICATED

So today we have some sort of flower (I think it's female) and a surprised, or maybe yearning, spider.  I'm starting to think I know what this will turn into, but I don't think I will make it clear for a few more days.... So, NYAH.

I can't tell if this is going to be mundane or brilliant

So, we have what appears to be some sort of bug pulling a statue/sculpture/taxidermy thing with a "Bee-Zooka," a worm helping him push, a snake-person holding some sort of can, and what, what, WHAT is going on over on the left?  Any thoughts on what is happening here?

Here's where we've been so far:

So, is he a statue, or what?

Seriously, what is going on here?  I have almost no idea.  Someone should figure it out.  Is that worm holding the Bee-zooka guy up, does he like taxidermy, is he really just a dingus who happened to be walking by?

So MANY questions!

Doodling

It begins.

Doodling is a crazy thing.  I don't do it out of boredom or inattention.  I have found I get the most out of work and informational meetings when I have a doodle up and going.  It fills the space on conference calls, quiets the fidgets when you're on display, and, when it's done correctly, it looks like furious note taking.

Unless your boss is sitting next to you.

So, I'm not failing, quite.

So I bought a tablet. The tablet did not support Adobe Mobile. I bought a phone. The phone does.  I'm still getting used to the new tool, and am attempting to become proficient at drawing in an all digital format.  For the next few weeks, you will see regular drawings of weirdos and other demons as I learn this medium all over again.  Here is no. 1.

Yep.  Looks like I just found MS Paint for neophytes.
